Xzibit

After dropping both the tracklist and trailer for Napalm, we finally get some audio content off X to the Z’s first album since 2006, and it seems as if Mr. X to the Z hasn’t missed a beat. According to Xzibit’s tweet (see below), the Dr. Dre produced neck breaker titled “Louis XIII,” which finds the Cali veteran reunited with King Tee and The Liks, was not planned to leak just yet. Intended or not, the track has proved that the internet is still very much open on weekends, as news of the leak seems to have made the rounds nearly instantly. With a release date of October 9th, I’m definitely amped to hear more music off Napalm in the upcoming weeks.

Greg Grease – “Forward”

If you’ve managed to get this far during the week, you probably deserve a break. And what good timing to introduce Greg Grease‘s latest video for “Forward”, a stripped down, less-is-more banger that doesn’t need to be overdramatic to get it’s point across. Directed by Adam Dunn as a part of his #LABB (Lights and a Backdrop) series, the visuals are as minimalistic as it gets, allowing the Grease, his DJ and his turntable to play centre stage. Check it out and be sure to pick up Greg Grease’s Black King Cole EP if you don’t already own it.
