It’s been nearly 11 years since the release of Non Phixion’s acclaimed LP The Future Is Now knocked our socks off. As anyone familiar with that masterpiece would know, every song is a standout, however that Pete Rock produced jewel “If You Got Love” is somethin’ real special and is still good for a head bop any day of the week with that chilling Petula Clark sample. Well looks like the former 5714 Farragut Road resident has reunited with the Chocolate Boy Wonder on “Truth,” the latest leak off Ill Bill’s forthcoming LP, The Grimey Awards. With guest features that include A-Trak, Lil Fame, El-P, OC, Cormega, Jedi Mind Tricks, Shabazz The Disciple, HR (of Bad Brains) and more, and production from the likes of Premo, Pete Rock, Large Professor, El-P, Moss and DJ Skizz among others, this LP is shaping up to be quite a treat – check out the tracklist below.

Greg Grease – “Forward”

If you’ve managed to get this far during the week, you probably deserve a break. And what good timing to introduce Greg Grease‘s latest video for “Forward”, a stripped down, less-is-more banger that doesn’t need to be overdramatic to get it’s point across. Directed by Adam Dunn as a part of his #LABB (Lights and a Backdrop) series, the visuals are as minimalistic as it gets, allowing the Grease, his DJ and his turntable to play centre stage. Check it out and be sure to pick up Greg Grease’s Black King Cole EP if you don’t already own it.
