This remix may come as a surprise to some, but it’s been a long time coming. Since “Purple Swag” and “Peso” captured eyes and ears in mid-2011, A$AP Rocky has emerged as one of hip-hop’s most polarizing stars. Meanwhile, across the pond, Jessie Ware has come into her own as the UK’s next big thing, evident by the global critical and commercial success of her 2012 debut album, Devotion.

It’s on the remix of Ms. Ware’s LP single, “Wildest Moments,” that the paths of these two promising and pioneering new talents intertwine — and we’re pretty certain that if this was the original, it would have been a prize on many an end-of-year list in 2012.

Greg Grease – “Forward”

If you’ve managed to get this far during the week, you probably deserve a break. And what good timing to introduce Greg Grease‘s latest video for “Forward”, a stripped down, less-is-more banger that doesn’t need to be overdramatic to get it’s point across. Directed by Adam Dunn as a part of his #LABB (Lights and a Backdrop) series, the visuals are as minimalistic as it gets, allowing the Grease, his DJ and his turntable to play centre stage. Check it out and be sure to pick up Greg Grease’s Black King Cole EP if you don’t already own it.
