Although Joey Bada$$ may the poster child for the emerging Beast Coast movement, the Summer Knights emcee knows how to properly keep his collective in the limelight. Case in point: CJ Fly and his latest tape, Thee Way Eye See It, which maintains that feel good Pro Era vibe while introducing some fresh concepts. At a staggering 18 songs, it easily surpasses the expectations of what the term “mixtape” has come to mean in the modern day. “Seek Well” has Fly getting with A La $oul and the legendary Phife Dawg for a late night, slow burning joint that will complement a brisk drive through the city. Check it down below and pick up Thee Way Eye See It here for more dope tracks.

Greg Grease – “Forward”

If you’ve managed to get this far during the week, you probably deserve a break. And what good timing to introduce Greg Grease‘s latest video for “Forward”, a stripped down, less-is-more banger that doesn’t need to be overdramatic to get it’s point across. Directed by Adam Dunn as a part of his #LABB (Lights and a Backdrop) series, the visuals are as minimalistic as it gets, allowing the Grease, his DJ and his turntable to play centre stage. Check it out and be sure to pick up Greg Grease’s Black King Cole EP if you don’t already own it.
