We never thought Papoose would get a mention let alone be the biggest headline this past week. But thanks to perhaps the most bizarre sequence at Hot 97’s Summer Jam, wherein he crashed the stage to perform one song following Kendrick Lamar‘s devastating set, he’s all we’ve been talking about.

Queens MC 360 takes his Everywhere and Back EP standout, “Own Thing,” bolsters it with guest verses from fellow real spitters Freddie Gibbs and Jadakiss, and serves up the remix for his new Beginning of Forever LP, out next month.

Up-and-coming Queens product 360 continues to prove his promise. Having put out the acclaimed Everywhere and Back EP (which boasted contributions from J.Cole, MeLa Machinko and Kid Moore) in April, the soulful lyricist looks ahead with a brand new track entitled “Everybody Wants To Be A Star”. Over an antique instrumental courtesy of Maserati Meyers, 360 doesn’t fake the funk; in fact, he addresses it: “So now he went and got tatted like Wiz, and he even grew a beard like Ross/ Thinking his appearance gon’ change who he is, and the world gon’ see him as a boss.” Let’s hope this signals a new project on the horizon from 360. Stream and download the new gem below.

Greg Grease – “Forward”

If you’ve managed to get this far during the week, you probably deserve a break. And what good timing to introduce Greg Grease‘s latest video for “Forward”, a stripped down, less-is-more banger that doesn’t need to be overdramatic to get it’s point across. Directed by Adam Dunn as a part of his #LABB (Lights and a Backdrop) series, the visuals are as minimalistic as it gets, allowing the Grease, his DJ and his turntable to play centre stage. Check it out and be sure to pick up Greg Grease’s Black King Cole EP if you don’t already own it.
