Koncept of the mighty Brown Bag AllStars finally drops the visuals to the stand out, Marco Polo produced single “Watch the Sky Fall” featured on his debut album Awaken, which dropped December of last year. You’ll notice that both Koncept and Nickel Nine are no where to be found throughout the video, but seem to be replaced by two girls (I see you Carla!) who wanna do hood-rat stuff by car jacking the homey J57 who later gets set up for the fall…that ain’t right. Hit the jump and take note.

The mighty Brown Bag familia has returned with their latest extended play offering Brown Label 2, which is available for stream courtesy of Bandcamp. For those willing to drop the bargain bin price of a mere five bucks (that’s about the price of two 40 ounces people), the project expands to a fourteen track lp. Not sure if they got Steve Stout on their payroll, but nonetheless, that’s quite an interesting marketing strategy. Containing production and remixes from the likes of DeeJay Element, EP (of the Doppelgangaz), J57, Audible Doctor and DJ Rhettmatic (waddup Rhett!), the Brown Bag cement their place on Part 2 as one of the most important, talented and improved New York-basd Hip-Hop groups making music today on. Check out the Audible Doctor remix of “Rhett Committed Murder” below and hit the jump for the entire EP stream.

Greg Grease – “Forward”

If you’ve managed to get this far during the week, you probably deserve a break. And what good timing to introduce Greg Grease‘s latest video for “Forward”, a stripped down, less-is-more banger that doesn’t need to be overdramatic to get it’s point across. Directed by Adam Dunn as a part of his #LABB (Lights and a Backdrop) series, the visuals are as minimalistic as it gets, allowing the Grease, his DJ and his turntable to play centre stage. Check it out and be sure to pick up Greg Grease’s Black King Cole EP if you don’t already own it.
