As if Stereotype, the Statik Selektah-scored album from one of the West Coast’s best kept secrets, Strong Arm Steady, wasn’t worthy of burn in the stereo, fellow Stones Throw alumnus, Oh No, has got his hands on the bulk of the record. Remixing and reducing it, Madlib’s lil bro has birthed Stereo Jr., and like you aren’t already clambering over to the Stones Throw store to order a copy, allow the glitchy refix of “No Sky Limit,” also featuring Dom Kennedy, to provide the necessary persuasion.

It’s been a minute since we’ve heard fresh produce from West Coast rapper Dom Kennedy, but rest assured the wait will be worth it come Summer time. Prepping the follow up to last year’s From The Westside With Love II LP with the highly anticipated The Yellow Album, Dom drops off the album’s lead single, entitled “My Type of Party”. The musical direction of this track should be more than obvious, but in case the hint flies way over your head, DJ Dahi’s dizzying production and Kennedy’s dumbed-down (sorry, Dom) bars will clue you up.
