Eddie B first earned his looks on the blogosphere last month with his Harry Fraud-produced “Courage.” It’s safe to say we’ve been intrigued since, and the New Jersey MC keeps us hooked with the second single from his and Fraud’s upcoming Horsepower EP with “Marvelous.” With a guest feature from Action Bronson and a Raekwon sample ringing throughout, we’ll say this puts Eddie at 100% from the field already. Look for Horsepower EP arriving next week via Man Bites Dog Records.

There’s no rest for the wicked dramatic. As if we’ve not had enough scenes to cringe at this year, hip-hop kept the gossip machine well-fed this week with a number of public outbursts. Drama aside, we present to you our five favorite slept-on releases from the past week. Props to Eddie B, Harry Fraud, Sean Price, Pharoahe Monch, Wispers, Kosha Dillz, DJ Skizz, Lil Fame and Ill Bill this time round.

Greg Grease – “Forward”

If you’ve managed to get this far during the week, you probably deserve a break. And what good timing to introduce Greg Grease‘s latest video for “Forward”, a stripped down, less-is-more banger that doesn’t need to be overdramatic to get it’s point across. Directed by Adam Dunn as a part of his #LABB (Lights and a Backdrop) series, the visuals are as minimalistic as it gets, allowing the Grease, his DJ and his turntable to play centre stage. Check it out and be sure to pick up Greg Grease’s Black King Cole EP if you don’t already own it.
