MasterP

No Limit may have disbanded back in 2003, and his last album, Ghetto Bill, may have arrived over seven years ago, but Master P is plotting a comeback. The New Orleans O.G. is prepping the release of a new mixtape entitled Al Capone, and as an early sample, serves up “Friends With Benefits” featuring some of the South’s new blood, Kirko Bangz. Like the title suggests, the two charm their female listeners over the usual bass-pounding Third Coast rattle, courtesy of 1500 Or Nothin. Listen below.

KirkoBangz

It’s always a good look when an artist can drop the image long enough to let fans see themselves in an honest light. Kirko Bangz has done this in the past, but this could be his most personal outing yet, as he rhymes over the instrumental for Big Krit’s “The Vent” to do the same thing… vent. From personal issues with his pregnant sister and his mother, to the Drake comparisons, to addressing the mindstate of strippers, Kirko touches on more than a few topics here. Check out the visual after the jump.

Freddie Gibbs has been steadily putting out music for a while now, and as his Baby Face Killa project nears completion, he releases this collaboration with Texas up-and-comer Kirko Bangz. “Bout It Bout It” definitely has that bounce element to it, and hopefully the project it belongs to drops sooner than later. Until then, you can check the stream below.

Greg Grease – “Forward”

If you’ve managed to get this far during the week, you probably deserve a break. And what good timing to introduce Greg Grease‘s latest video for “Forward”, a stripped down, less-is-more banger that doesn’t need to be overdramatic to get it’s point across. Directed by Adam Dunn as a part of his #LABB (Lights and a Backdrop) series, the visuals are as minimalistic as it gets, allowing the Grease, his DJ and his turntable to play centre stage. Check it out and be sure to pick up Greg Grease’s Black King Cole EP if you don’t already own it.
