From one Queens anthem to another. After linking with LL Cool J and Lloyd Banks on the remix to his Saaab Stories favorite, “Strictly 4 My Jeeps,” Action Bronson shares the mic with the legendary Kool G Rap — an MC he considers his idol — on the Statik Selektah-produced “It’s a Queens Thing.” This is the latest track off Tony Touch‘s The Piecemaker 3: Return of the 50 MCs album, dropping July 9.

Is Queens in the building?! It certainly is on Big Noyd, Large Professor and Kool G Rap‘s surprise new collaboration, “Naturally Born.” Needless to say, the Ayatollah-produced cut sounds right out of the Golden Age, with the three vets waxing poetic over a vintage boom bap beat, complete with cuts by DJ Dutchmaster. This is the seventh single from our fam Coalmine Records’ Unearthed compilation album, which will drop in the second quarter of the year.

The releases from RZA’s The Man With The Iron Fists are coming in damn near every day–and that’s absolutely fine by us. The latest track from the Wu Gambino’s martial arts flick is this punishing anthem, “Rivers of Blood,” starring fellow Shaolin Soldiers, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon, as well as the legendary Kool G Rap. It boasts a nice mix of new and old, as Frank Dukes and hip-hop/jazz rockers BADBADNOTGOOD share the production credits. The Man With The Iron Fists soundtrack is out October 23.

Greg Grease – “Forward”

If you’ve managed to get this far during the week, you probably deserve a break. And what good timing to introduce Greg Grease‘s latest video for “Forward”, a stripped down, less-is-more banger that doesn’t need to be overdramatic to get it’s point across. Directed by Adam Dunn as a part of his #LABB (Lights and a Backdrop) series, the visuals are as minimalistic as it gets, allowing the Grease, his DJ and his turntable to play centre stage. Check it out and be sure to pick up Greg Grease’s Black King Cole EP if you don’t already own it.
