future

Future’s output isn’t hugely prolific, but his impact is always felt. After crushing it with guest hooks on hits like Lil Wayne‘s “Love Me,” Ace Hood‘s “Bugatti” and Rocko‘s “U.O.E.N.O.,” the ATLien returns with his own new single, “Shit.” Once again, Mike WiLL Made It provides the slow, threatening soundscape to Future Hendrix’s raspy flow. If you weren’t a fan of dude before, don’t expect this to sway your opinion.

Trae Tha Truth and Future‘s sedated codeine anthem, “Screwed Up,” gets even more potent today with the official video.

rihanna

If you’ve spent more than 10 drunk minutes in a club lately, you’ll know that Rihanna‘s “Pour It Up” is the jam. And the Mike WiLL Made It-produced anthem has just got even bigger today with Juicy J, T.I. and best friends Rick Ross and Young Jeezy all adding some muscle. Not only because we suspect he has the biggest tolerance to hard liquor, but we’re giving best guest verse prizes to the Juice man on this one.

travis scott

Travi$ Scott doesn’t have a deep catalog, but what he lacks in product, he makes up for in hype. Since garnering the attention of T.I. and Kanye West — eventually falling into the G.O.O.D. Music fold — last year, the 20-year-old Houston native has emerged as one of hip-hop’s most intriguing new faces.

He was set to officially announce himself in the game with the release of his debut EP, Owl Pharoah, today, but sample clearance issues have pushed it back once again. Instead, Scott offers up just one of its many guest-heavy cuts, “Pussy” — a chilling Mike WiLL Made It-produced banger which features MMG‘s Gunplay, GBE‘s Fredo Santana and Cool Kid Chuck Inglish.

No new release date for Owl Pharaoh, but with Kanye West, Bon Iver and Toro Y Moi also expected to feature, the anticipation only grows.

Greg Grease – “Forward”

If you’ve managed to get this far during the week, you probably deserve a break. And what good timing to introduce Greg Grease‘s latest video for “Forward”, a stripped down, less-is-more banger that doesn’t need to be overdramatic to get it’s point across. Directed by Adam Dunn as a part of his #LABB (Lights and a Backdrop) series, the visuals are as minimalistic as it gets, allowing the Grease, his DJ and his turntable to play centre stage. Check it out and be sure to pick up Greg Grease’s Black King Cole EP if you don’t already own it.

  1. Blu & Nottz (feat. Rashad) – “End of the World”
  2. CJ Fly (feat. A La $oul & Phife Dawg) – “Seek Well”
