Nottz and Pete Rock are undisputedly two of hip-hop’s greatest ever beatmakers, but they flex their bars (and show off a little acting skills) in the video to their “Turn It Up” collaboration, off Raw’s In My Mind EP.

It’s been nearly 11 years since the release of Non Phixion’s acclaimed LP The Future Is Now knocked our socks off. As anyone familiar with that masterpiece would know, every song is a standout, however that Pete Rock produced jewel “If You Got Love” is somethin’ real special and is still good for a head bop any day of the week with that chilling Petula Clark sample. Well looks like the former 5714 Farragut Road resident has reunited with the Chocolate Boy Wonder on “Truth,” the latest leak off Ill Bill’s forthcoming LP, The Grimey Awards. Looks like this LP is shaping up to be quite a treat – hit the jump to peep the tracklist.

Greg Grease – “Forward”

If you’ve managed to get this far during the week, you probably deserve a break. And what good timing to introduce Greg Grease‘s latest video for “Forward”, a stripped down, less-is-more banger that doesn’t need to be overdramatic to get it’s point across. Directed by Adam Dunn as a part of his #LABB (Lights and a Backdrop) series, the visuals are as minimalistic as it gets, allowing the Grease, his DJ and his turntable to play centre stage. Check it out and be sure to pick up Greg Grease’s Black King Cole EP if you don’t already own it.
