2 chainz

After debuting this during his set at Hot 97’s Summer Jam Sunday night, 2 Chainz lets loose the first single off his new album (out September 10), “Feds Watching,” featuring Pharrell. It may be a heavily diluted “fuck tha police” record, but Skateboard P’s production polish is worth the listen alone.

Just when we thought twerking was dying. This is easily the worst Busta Rhymes and/or Pharrell track of recent memory.

daft punk

After a preview during an SNL commercial and a fake version circulating the ‘net, Daft Punk‘s “Get Lucky” is finally here in full flesh. The lead single from the French duo’s upcoming Random Access Memories (out May 21), the way-too-funky track features Pharrell and Nile Rodgers. According to P, “this music represents the freedom of all human beings.” We’re inclined to agree.

tyler the creator

With his Wolf album just days away from (official) release, Tyler, The Creator gives us a typically bizarre look at his Pharrell-assisted “IFHY.”

N.O.R.E. (who, despite recently changed his name to P.A.P.I., appears to still use his old moniker… thankfully) and Pharrell have a solid track record together. The deadly duo collaborate once more for the Queens MC’s new joint, “The Problem (Lawwwddd),” the latest single off his forthcoming Student Of The Game LP, which is shaping up nicely. We can’t say this is anything like “Superthug” or “Nothin'” — both sonically and quality-wise — but it should be enough to keep the clubs and whips relatively warm for the time coming.

Greg Grease – “Forward”

If you’ve managed to get this far during the week, you probably deserve a break. And what good timing to introduce Greg Grease‘s latest video for “Forward”, a stripped down, less-is-more banger that doesn’t need to be overdramatic to get it’s point across. Directed by Adam Dunn as a part of his #LABB (Lights and a Backdrop) series, the visuals are as minimalistic as it gets, allowing the Grease, his DJ and his turntable to play centre stage. Check it out and be sure to pick up Greg Grease’s Black King Cole EP if you don’t already own it.
