Roka-Mouth

Pro Era has been flooding the ‘net with material of late, and it hasn’t all been from Joey Bada$$. Today it’s one of the collective’s lesser known but equally-as-promising rhymers, Rokamouth, who steps into the spotlight on “Godmind,” a heavily sedated joint featuring Ak of fellow Beast Coast representatives The Underachievers (who are enjoying their own success off the recent release of their Indigoism mixtape).

Not only serving as perfect smoking soundtrack material, these next 2 minutes and 57 seconds are further evidence why you’re a fool if you box Pro Era in as simple Golden Age enthusiasts.

capital steez

After bringing us the super dope “Wendy N Becky” collaboration between Joey Bada$$, Chance The Rapper and Thelonious Martin, Pro Era‘s Twitter trending topic-come-free music series #PROERAweek now gifts us an unheard verse from Capital STEEZ. The late 19-year-old rapper, who seemingly took his own life on Christmas Eve, spits a typically intriguing, instrospective verse on “Maxwell,” a track which samples Maxwell’s “Bad Habits,” and also features P.E.’s Dirty Sanchez and Rokamouth. Rest In Power, Steelo.

Greg Grease – “Forward”

If you’ve managed to get this far during the week, you probably deserve a break. And what good timing to introduce Greg Grease‘s latest video for “Forward”, a stripped down, less-is-more banger that doesn’t need to be overdramatic to get it’s point across. Directed by Adam Dunn as a part of his #LABB (Lights and a Backdrop) series, the visuals are as minimalistic as it gets, allowing the Grease, his DJ and his turntable to play centre stage. Check it out and be sure to pick up Greg Grease’s Black King Cole EP if you don’t already own it.
