Not to rain on Quincey and Kendrick‘s parade, but I feel like this is a little underwhelming. I’m not giving this as much spin as “Yay Yay,” anyway. There’s still no doubt that Oxymoron will be one hell of an album, though.

I usually find those “omg last night was so turnt!”-type songs cheesy and fantastical, but ScHoolboy Q takes pop’s familiar formula and creates yet another rugged party rap record. Produced by the unfaltering DJ Dahi, “Hell of a Night” was premiered last night during TNT’s NBA coverage, which seems fitting considering how the Pacers came out of Miami with a W. That dunk from Paul George.

Uh oh. While Rocko‘s promised remixes have dried up, the Black Hippy boys give his monster “U.O.E.N.O.” single a brand new flavor. Jay Rock went the fuck in.

Greg Grease – “Forward”

If you’ve managed to get this far during the week, you probably deserve a break. And what good timing to introduce Greg Grease‘s latest video for “Forward”, a stripped down, less-is-more banger that doesn’t need to be overdramatic to get it’s point across. Directed by Adam Dunn as a part of his #LABB (Lights and a Backdrop) series, the visuals are as minimalistic as it gets, allowing the Grease, his DJ and his turntable to play centre stage. Check it out and be sure to pick up Greg Grease’s Black King Cole EP if you don’t already own it.
