BrooklynKnight rapper Sene is back with a new project. This time he has teamed up songstress Denitia for this short but sweet three track extended play, titled blah blah blah. Interestingly, Sene is not vocal on this project at all, instead he wrote all three of the songs, showcasing his extremely versatile penmanship. This is not entirely a Hip-Hop EP. Sene is not at all vocal on blah blah blah, instead he wrote all three of the tracks, showcasing his extremely versatile penmanship. Denitia soft, melodious vocals nod more towards the Norah Jones /Mazzy Star genre of music. Slightly alternative. J57, Illingsworth and Deejay Element deliver first rate production, which are indisputably Hip-Hop beats, bridging the gap between that and Denitia‚Äôs indie pop/rock style. A cool, alternative project for the musically adventurous. Check out the project’s title track below, and hit the jump to preview all three..

It’s that time again. My picks for the week were really tough as their were so many to choose from. It was a great week for hip hop. Shout out to UK emcee Shystie who dropped a hot track with Azealea Banks this week and has been blowing up Twitter. Wouldn’t be right not to mention it. Gotta show the UK love. Also Mike GLC‘s jawn “Famous” deserves an honourable mention too. But the nods for this week go to ScienZe, Sean Born, Lyriciss, DB Tha General & Davinci and Flash…now hit the jump to stop, look and listen.

Greg Grease – “Forward”

If you’ve managed to get this far during the week, you probably deserve a break. And what good timing to introduce Greg Grease‘s latest video for “Forward”, a stripped down, less-is-more banger that doesn’t need to be overdramatic to get it’s point across. Directed by Adam Dunn as a part of his #LABB (Lights and a Backdrop) series, the visuals are as minimalistic as it gets, allowing the Grease, his DJ and his turntable to play centre stage. Check it out and be sure to pick up Greg Grease’s Black King Cole EP if you don’t already own it.
