There’s no question that between Hova’s recent trip to Cuba and his plans to divest his ownership stake in the Brooklyn Nets to become a sports agent, that his name has been making headlines internationally. Well Iceberg Slim might not reply back to your diss record, but try and question his motives and he’ll be quick to dump a lyrical clip in ya’. How quick.. so quick that he and his long time collaborators Timbaland and Swizz Beatz hit the lab just last night to pen an “Open Letter,” and before most of us could reach for the snooze bar this morning, the song’s already gone viral.. y’all gonna learn today.

Y’all must wanna start a revolution, ya’ know whenever I’m threatened I start shootin’/ Catch a body, head to Houston, I’m in Cuba, I love Cubans/ This communist talk is so confusing, when it’s from China the very mic that I’m usin’…

After teasing us a few days ago, Justin “JT” Timberlake is finally back–and a single with Jay-Z and Timbaland sure isn’t a bad way to mark your return. For the most part, it sounds like Justin hasn’t missed a beat on “Suit & Tie” as he croons (perpetually teetering on the edge of squealing) with confidence on this smooth-yet-contemporary Timbo beat, also charmed by a brief Hov cameo. This is the first single from Justin’s newly announced album, The 20/20 Experience, which will serve as his first full-length release since 2006’s FutureSex/LoveSounds (which, let’s face it, is easily our favorite guilty pleasure). Stream the track below and read the foreword from the man himself after the jump.

Miss E and Timbo are back! Providing hard evidence to the talk over these past few weeks, the once-dominant duo debuted two brand new tracks, “9th Inning” and “Triple Threat,” last night. It isn’t just the sports reference that the joints share; both singles are boastful, bass-heavy and, above all, brilliant, and will lead the comeback for Missy’s upcoming album, Block Party. You can stream the two tracks below, and purchase on iTunes via the links beneath.

Greg Grease – “Forward”

If you’ve managed to get this far during the week, you probably deserve a break. And what good timing to introduce Greg Grease‘s latest video for “Forward”, a stripped down, less-is-more banger that doesn’t need to be overdramatic to get it’s point across. Directed by Adam Dunn as a part of his #LABB (Lights and a Backdrop) series, the visuals are as minimalistic as it gets, allowing the Grease, his DJ and his turntable to play centre stage. Check it out and be sure to pick up Greg Grease’s Black King Cole EP if you don’t already own it.
