Perhaps we spoke too soon when we said that Mac Miller collab, “Chillin’,” was the cherry on top of Troy Ave‘s 2012. Looking to end the year even stronger, the Brooklyn bully will help fill the stockings tomorrow with a new mixtape, White Christmas, which contains this collaboration with G.O.O.D. Music/Clipse’s Pusha T, “Concrete Jungle.” This is as hard as the title suggests.

Brooklyn bully Troy Ave has landed himself on more–not to mention important–radars this year so far, releasing the third installment in his Bricks in my Backpack mixtape series, collaborating with the likes of N.O.R.E., Action Bronson and Chase N. Cashe, and earning well-deserved looks in high profile publications like The Source, The FADER and 2DopeBoyz. His new track, “Chillin’,” might as well be the cherry on top of 2012, as he connects with one of hip-hop’s hottest products, Mac Miller, for a smooth and high-spirited jam. It’s an early sample of Troy’s next project, White Christmas (hosted by DJ Holiday), which is sure to be another fine addition to his growing collection.

Even after the warm response to his Bricks In My Backpack 3 mixtape, Brooklyn mic bully Troy Ave has been keeping the streets fed with new music of late. Here goes another loosie, “Blanco,” which was produced by DJ Uneek. His bars are as dark and menacing as the title implies.

“The Smoker Of Trees” Rich Hil and “The Dealer of Keys” (Allegedly) Troy Ave team up for they’re latest SYYLD [support your local drug dealer] collab with a freestyle over the Just Blazed produced instrumental to “Lord Knows.” Here’s the story line behind it all…

Was kickin it at the RedBerry Rooftop for my homie @LowkeyUHTN party, Then went directly across the street to Chung King studios to Fuk wit Rich, so 3 Grand Marnier & Pineapple , 1 16 oz cup of Dirty Sprite , 2 Blunts & 37 minutes later this joint (no pun intended) emerged from the smoke … Like LITERALLY tho! -Troy Ave

Greg Grease – “Forward”

If you’ve managed to get this far during the week, you probably deserve a break. And what good timing to introduce Greg Grease‘s latest video for “Forward”, a stripped down, less-is-more banger that doesn’t need to be overdramatic to get it’s point across. Directed by Adam Dunn as a part of his #LABB (Lights and a Backdrop) series, the visuals are as minimalistic as it gets, allowing the Grease, his DJ and his turntable to play centre stage. Check it out and be sure to pick up Greg Grease’s Black King Cole EP if you don’t already own it.
