Wolf

There is a beautiful simplicity about Tyler the Creator’s latest creation, WOLF, an almost childlike wonder. If you weren’t paying attention, you might miss it. The Odd Future co-founder’s third LP seems a wistful reflection on youth, on simpler times and things. That’s why I fail to understand why people give this man so much shit for his language choice. It’s like how a woman can tell the difference in threat level between a dude that makes a bunch of suggestive but harmless jokes and the creep who is polite but leers at you when you walk away, in a way that makes you nervous, or should. It’s never the ones that put it out there that you have to worry about. Creeps aside, hit the jump and see what else we have to say about Tyler’s latest effort.. Spotify album stream included.

Greg Grease – “Forward”

If you’ve managed to get this far during the week, you probably deserve a break. And what good timing to introduce Greg Grease‘s latest video for “Forward”, a stripped down, less-is-more banger that doesn’t need to be overdramatic to get it’s point across. Directed by Adam Dunn as a part of his #LABB (Lights and a Backdrop) series, the visuals are as minimalistic as it gets, allowing the Grease, his DJ and his turntable to play centre stage. Check it out and be sure to pick up Greg Grease’s Black King Cole EP if you don’t already own it.
